Greetings,
It is indeed an honor to present the Cream City (WI) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated to the Milwaukee community and beyond. This year, The Links, Incorporated is celebrating seventy-five years of service both nationally and internationally. The organization is an international,
non-profit corporation. Not to mention that the organization holds the distinction of being one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer organizations. Milwaukee’s Cream City Chapter is honored to be a part of this distinguished group of professional African American women.
As the premier service organization, our presence and record of service in the Milwaukee community speaks volumes of the commitment towards enhancing the quality of life for children and families who are of African heritage.
This commitment to service is achieved through numerous projects and programs addressing the needs of families. Such projects as food drives, introduction to new life experiences, educational scholarships and information regarding health care issues which plague our communities. In addition, we were actively involved in political forums where the needs and interest of our children were addressed. Our partnerships with such organizations as the Milwaukee Public School System, The Salvation Army, Friends of Cream City, and other community based groups, afforded us the opportunity to achieve much and impact many lives, even during the turmoil of the pandemic. When you visit our website, please look at the various activities and programs initiated by the chapter. Even though we braved the challenges and rigors of the pandemic, our service to the community prevailed. Hats off to the members of the CREAM CITY (WI) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. Our innovative programs and dedication to the families and children of our community and abroad, was nothing less than stellar.
As we move forward during this time of uncertainty, we remain committed and dedicated to our mission and core values of service. It is our expectation that we will continue to be creative and strategic in enhancing the quality of life for as many families as possible. Our chapter looks forward to many more years of service to the Milwaukee community and abroad. We look forward to our partnerships and invite others to join our commitment to serving others.
Thank you, Milwaukee for 30-plus years of support. Your unwavering support throughout the years helped us to serve many families. Look for us throughout the community doing what we do best…..SERVICE.
