FACET: Services to Youth Partnership with Siefert Elementary School  Milwaukee Public Schools

•  Create walking opportunities for students and families at partnership school
• Provide socks and personal hygiene items to the students at the partnership school.
• ​Partner with Mental Illness Stigma Reduction and Recovery Coalition (MISRRC) to include programs on adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and the effects and impact on individual mental health.

•  Strong partnership with the National Kidney Foundation for the WOW (Women of the World Annual Conference)
• Emphasize advocacy agenda by collaborating with the Congressional Black Caucus, and National Urban League
• Educate women and children on policies and programs to protect the women and children who experience domestic violence and assault.
• Provide financial literacy workshops with a curriculum that includes classroom and online modules for families

 A Bridge to a Better Life

•  Instrumental in facilitating what members of their adopted village, Soppo Likoko in the Cameroon, most desired: a bridge.
• Assisted in providing access to preventative health care had been a major issue for those living in the village.
• ​The bridge, which allows people and small vehicles to safely cross over the river, serves more than 4,000 people, not only those in the village, but also those in neighboring areas

  • Greeting Cards to Soldiers
  • Hello Black Child Vision Board Creation
  • Study of African American Artists
  • "Who Am I" - Students focus on learning about the Great Depression, then study their own family tree.
